Jay K considers having major influences on his love for electronic music and mixing today. He got into electronic music in the year 2003 when he first heard Paul Van Dyk's "Crush" and later bought his first electronic music compilation, Sasha's very own "Involver." His big influences today are James Holden, James Zabiela, Gunther and Guy Gerber.

Jay K won the 1st prize in the 'Franco Elektro' DJ competition that was part of the sixth edition of the Jeux de la Francophonie, that was held in Beirut city in October 2009. He also took part in the three day CREA NUMERICA work shop held by 'Alain Crevoisier' (FUTURE INSTRUMENTS) which was targeted on gDigital Lutheryh, that is the art of making new digital musical instruments.

JAY K HAS PREVIOUSLY PLAYED DURING THE:
- Jeux de la Francophonie Beirut 2009 Closing Ceremony at BIEL
- Fete De La Musique Festival Beirut 2009 at the Dome, Down Town Beirut
- Karnival 2009 at La Marina along-side Marc O'Tool

As well as at several local clubs in town, such as Electro Mecanique, Silicon Culture Club, Q-Bar Zahle and Wonderbar.
